We’re back! And so are the Habs for the 2014-2015 NHL season. Sean and Zach dip back into the warm, possibly urine tainted hot tub waters that are The Two-Four podcast for this season preview edition. Even though it was recorded in a laundry room (which explains the echo chamber vibe), the boys don’t mess around on this one, kicking off this season starting edition of The 12 Pack with the big one: Can this version of the Habs win the Stanley Cup? It’s The Two-Four!
The first dominoes have begun to fall as we approach the NHL’s trade deadline so Sean and Zach toss around trade theories from the logical to the highly unlikely, discuss Montreal’s sub-par week and what it could mean for the daunting week ahead and muse on the big questions such as: Is Alex Kovalev a Hall of Famer? It’s The Two-Four!

For the first time in nearly a month, the Habs no longer hold top spot in the East, despite being in the midst of a five-game winning streak. Sean and Zach power-rank the top NHL teams, discuss possible trade scenarios and whether or not Montreal overpaid for Desharnais. Plus Sean McIndoe, aka Down Goes Brown, stops by to talk about his work for Grantland, his book and the Leafs.
It has been called one of the most embellished podcasts out there and a disgrace to the podcasting game: it’s The Two-Four! Sean and Zach cast via pod once more and it’s packed with all the diving, exaggerating, over-selling and overemphasizing you could ever want delivered to your ear drums! And all that happens even before Steph Darwish gets in on the action. She also tries to embellish a call or two though.
It’s certainly unexpected, but the Habs are still a first place team in the East. This weekend is a HUGE test as they meet with the arguable Beasts of the East with Pittsburgh and Boston on the schedule. Sean and Zach break down expectations, talk Ryder for Cole and prognosticate for the first time. Kyle Roussel also jumps in with his thoughts on all things Canadiens. Plus a new theme song!
With the Habs sitting atop the Eastern Conference, we once again bravely fire-up the podcast machine to discuss all things Bleu, Blanc et Rouge. Andrew Berkshire of Eyes On The Prize stops buy to chat a little advanced statistics while Sean and Zach wax poetic about Montreal’s chances of staying at the head of herd. Listen to it now!
