It was a second period for the ages, and not in a good way for the Montreal Canadiens. For the second consecutive encounter the Maple Leafs embarrassed the Habs. It was Tomas Plekanec’s first game against the only team he’d ever known in his NHL career prior to these last couple weeks and some of the Canadiens players chose to honour the long-time Hab by saluting his trademark style.

It was going to be revenge night for someone at the Bell Centre with former Dallas Stars Antti Niemi and Jordie Benn meeting former Habs Alex Radulov and Greg Pateryn on Tuesday night. Brendan Gallagher continued his march towards 30 goals while Arturri Lehkonen had himself a multi-goal game and Scherbak got pretty in this Habs win.
