Coming into Wednesday night’s game, your Montreal Canadiens had dropped five straight to the St. Louis Blues and it might have hit six if not for Brendan Gallagher’s late game heroics.

The Habs were hosting the Red Wings on Monday night as Tomas Plekanec played his 1000th NHL game;  having played all but 17 of them in the Bleu, Blanc, et Rouge. And he scored! Niemi got the start once more with Price still ailing from the flu and the game got a little bit nuts.
